Week 9

How far along? 9 Weeks

How is Mommy Feeling?
- like this gets more and more real every day.
- anxious about the switch to the OB, and not having 24/7 access to the doctor with extra special hand holding.
- oh so grateful to be done with the PIO injections, with a rump that is slowly recovering.
- excited about the delivery of maternity pants from old navy/the gap.

How is Daddy Feeling?
protective of his pregnant wife insisting on carrying all the groceries into the house after shopping today.
- very attentive and responsive to Foxy's need to eat, cooking and shopping and suggesting food choices.
- anxious about providing for his growing family, applied for a 'real' job that would provide benefits.

Total weight gain?
- 11.5 lbs from the start of the IVF cycle (6.6 lbs from the BFP)

Symptoms?
- boobies that are oh so painfully sore. Sore enough that they wake me when I role over at night. and especially painful when my nipples get cold. I am going to ask my new OB about Renaylds of the nipples. really painful.
- a stomach that has suddenly become very particular, demanding constant feeding, yet slightly repulsed by most food options.

The Belly?
- my mom claimed that she could see a little bump. Be it bloat or whatnot, I can no longer fit into my normal pants and am very happy to be wearing stretchy pants and new maternity pants.

Sleep?
- i feel asleep on the couch way before bedtime twice this week. I haven't noticed any serious fatigue until this week. there have been a few occasions when I could have taken a nap had work allowed.
- my dreams have been beyond vivid and strange.
- if only my boobies did not hurt so much when I roll over.
What I miss?
- i am really missing intimacy with my husband, really, really missing this.

It's so great that you're documenting all of this! It's one of those things I "meant" to do and now am really bummed that I didn't.

PS...I have an award for you on my blog. :)

Congratulations on reaching week 9. YEAH! Every milestone feels like such a huge deal, doesn't it?
I hope that your intimate time with ML can start again in T2. Hang in there :-)

I was nervous to leave the RE too, but you'll do just fine. Congrats!

Yay for a fellow 9 weeker!!!! :) I am also anxious about making the switch to an OB-GYN, but it's also a good sign. That means we made it!!! :) I also miss being intimate with my husband - I'm just too unwilling to "risk" anything at this point. :(

Yea for week 9! I'll be there tomorrow, and I'm really wishing I could have another ultrasound. I'm trying to have faith that everything's going just fine, but sometimes I still lie in bed at night worrying and clutching my abdomen with all the positive thoughts I can muster.

My doc gave us the go ahead for intimate time, but it's been rough going for me. My left ovary is still enlarged, enough that it causes sexy time pain/discomfort, and the "O"s tend to leave me with a lot of uncomfortable (though apparently normal) cramps. Add to that the morning sickness and general feeling of ick, and really there isn't much sexy time to go around. :(

Hmm, I think this comment has just inspired a future post...

Dude, I totally feel ya on the sore boobie front. I have resorted to wearing a sports bra, or at the very least a cami with a built in bra. I'm fairly "gifted" in that department so those things were never enough support for me to just walk out in public wearing one, but they are just enough to keep my girls contained while sleeping. I think you can get them pretty cheap at Old Navy.

I've written a few of these post myself, but been too chickensh*t to post them. Reading yours makes me feel a bit better, I might just have to start publishing them...

As for relations with the husband, I really miss it too. I actually had a VERY vivid dream of some private time with my hubby and woke up to the same cramping Kerrik mentioned. We were cleared to resume normal martial activities as of my eighth week (this last Saturday), but when I approached my husband about it, he was a little apprehensive and said we should wait until after our next u/s this friday... Boys.

Glad you're hanging in there.

I always have a smile when I read the updates about your little bean. I want to thank you for your thoughtful comments on my blog as well. It really meant a lot to have the support.

Thank you :-)
