Birth Stuff

So many things I want to share about how to have yourself a Foxy Birth....

1) Make sure you have a provider who is right for you. Download and ask them these "10 questions."

2) Remember that you are a grown woman, capable of making your own decisions about what is best for you and your baby. Too often the medical system expects women to be 'good little girls' and do as they are told. Not Cool. Read this article for a reminder that no one is allowed to not allow you!

3) Find your local Birth Network and get yourself a doula. Totally worth it. I promise.

4) When your provider makes a recommendation about your care, ask them to provide you with information about the risks, benefits, alternatives, and other options before you make a decision. This is your body and your baby and sometimes the things that are easiest for your provider to recommend are not necessarily the things you would choose if you had all of the information they do.

5) Change your mind as much as you want to. Change providers if you want to. Change hospitals while you are in labor if you want to. THIS is your body and your birth.
